The 30-Pin ESP32 is the industry standard for balanced IoT development. Its dual-core architecture allows you to assign specific tasks to different cores—for example, handling WiFi protocols on one core while managing high-speed sensor data on the other.   • The 3.3V Logic Limit: Every I/O pin on the ESP32 is 3.3V only. Connecting a 5V signal from an older sensor will damage the chip. Use a Logic Level Converter for safe 5V communication.

  • WiFi Power Spikes: WiFi transmission can cause sudden current draws of up to 500mA. If your board resets when connecting to the cloud, use a high-quality Micro-USB cable or a dedicated 5V power supply on the VIN pin.

  • Programming Hint: If the Arduino IDE shows "Connecting..." but fails to upload, hold the BOOT button on the board for a second. This manually triggers the flashing mode.

  • Analog Pin Choice: Use ADC1 pins (GPIO 32-39) for analog sensors if you plan to use WiFi. ADC2 pins are shared with the WiFi hardware and will return incorrect values while the radio is active.
