Product Description The SG90 is the most popular micro servo in the world, renowned for its lightweight design and reliable performance in small-scale electronics. This 9-gram actuator provides 180 degrees of controlled rotation, making it the standard choice for RC park flyers, micro-robotics, and Arduino learning kits. Prototyping and Engineering Tips from Robogears

  • Power Management: While a single SG90 can sometimes run off an Arduino’s 5V pin, multiple servos will cause the board to reset due to current spikes. Always use an external 5V 2A power source for projects with more than two servos, ensuring a common ground (GND) with your controller.

  • Mechanical Limits: Avoid forcing the servo arm past its 0° or 180° limits manually, as this can easily strip the internal nylon gears. Always center the servo electronically using a servo tester or code before attaching the horn.

  • Jitter Prevention: If your servo is "twitching," it’s often due to electrical noise. Adding a 100uF to 1000uF capacitor across the VCC and GND lines near the servo can significantly stabilize the movement.

  • Mounting: Use the included rubber grommets (if provided) or small M2 screws for mounting. Ensure the linkage wire is straight; any bending in the pushrod adds friction and reduces the effective torque of the motor.
