• Calculating RPM: To measure motor speed, use a slotted encoder disk (typically 20 slots). In your code, count the number of pulses (n) in one second. The formula for RPM is:

• Interrupt Usage: For high-speed motors, do not use the digitalRead() function in your main loop, as it may miss pulses. Instead, connect the DO pin to an Interrupt-capable pin (Pin 2 or 3 on Arduino Uno) and use attachInterrupt(digitalPinToInterrupt(2), countPulse, RISING).

• Ambient Light Interference: While the module is relatively stable, very bright direct sunlight can sometimes "leak" into the receiver and cause false readings. If using this outdoors, a simple black tape shroud or 3D-printed cover over the sensor head will ensure reliability.

• Alignment is Key: Ensure your encoder disk is perfectly centered in the 5mm slot. If the disk wobbles and touches the sides of the groove, it will cause mechanical friction and eventually damage the IR LEDs.
