Product Description
The KY-036 Metal Touch Sensor features a distinct metal pin protruding from the front of the PCB which acts as the primary sensing element. When a conductive object (like a finger) touches this pin, the Darlington transistor amplifies the signal, which is then processed by an LM393 comparator. The module provides a Digital Output (D0) that switches from LOW to HIGH upon contact, and an Analog Output (A0) that provides a real-time voltage level corresponding to the intensity of the touch or the proximity of the conductive body. This dual-output nature allows for both simple "on/off" logic and complex signal processing.
Key Features
Dual Output Mode: Simultaneously provides digital trigger signals and analog intensity data.
Adjustable Threshold: The onboard blue multi-turn potentiometer allows you to fine-tune the touch sensitivity.
Visual Indicators: Features two LEDs—one for power status and another that lights up when a touch is detected.
Non-Contact Potential: At high sensitivity, it can act as a proximity sensor for large metal masses without direct physical contact.
Compact Integration: Standard 4-pin header (VCC, GND, D0, A0) for easy wiring with jumpers.
