Product Description The ULN2003 Stepper Motor Driver Board is a compact and efficient solution for controlling small 4-phase 5-wire stepper motors, such as the widely used 28BYJ-48. At its core is the ULN2003A high-voltage, high-current Darlington transistor array, which allows a low-power microcontroller to drive high-current inductive loads. The board features a standardized 5-pin XH-series connector for plug-and-play motor connection and a 4-pin header for easy interfacing with Arduino, ESP32, or Raspberry Pi.   • 9V Battery Use: While the driver can handle 9V, a 28BYJ-48 motor typically pulls significant current. A standard 9V battery will only last a few minutes. For testing, use a 12V 2A SMPS or a dedicated power adapter.

  • 18650 Cell: Two 18650 cells in series (7.4V) provide a great balance of torque and runtime for this driver. Connect the battery to the (+) and (-) pins on the jumper block of the driver.

  • IC & Capacitor Tip: Always add a 100uF to 470uF Electrolytic Capacitor across the motor power input pins on the driver board. This prevents current surges from the motor from causing "noise" that could reset your Arduino. Pair it with an Arduino Nano for a very compact motion control system.
