Installation Tip from Robogears Induction heating generates extreme current; do not power the board for more than 5 minutes at a time without adding active cooling (a fan) to the MOSFETs and the heating coil. Ensure that the heating coil is properly soldered to the board before applying power; running the ZVS circuit without a load (the coil) can lead to immediate transistor failure. For best results, use a high-current power source like a Lead-Acid battery or a 12V 10A SMPS, as standard small adapters will drop voltage and stall the oscillation.
