Product Description
The NE555 IC is engineered for high-precision timing applications. It consists of 25 transistors, 2 diodes, and 15 resistors on a single silicon chip. Its output is capable of driving TTL circuits or high-current loads like small relays and buzzers directly. One of its greatest strengths is its voltage independence; the timing interval is determined by an external resistor and capacitor network ($R-C$ network), and the timing remains remarkably stable even if the supply voltage fluctuates.
Key Features
Multiple Operating Modes: Functions as a pulse generator, delay timer, or a simple flip-flop.
High Output Drive: Supports up to 200mA, allowing it to drive many components without an additional transistor.
Adjustable Duty Cycle: By varying the external resistor values, you can precisely control the "ON" vs. "OFF" time of the output signal.
Wide Voltage Range: Works perfectly with common 5V microcontrollers as well as 9V or 12V battery systems.
Industry Standard: Compatible with almost every electronics tutorial and simulation software globally.
