DS3231 RTC Module Precise Real Time Clock I2C – AT24C02
The DS3231 RTC Module is a low-cost and highly accurate device that uses the DS3231 Chip Extremely Accurate I2C integrated chip from Maxim. It has a temperature-compensated crystal oscillator and an I2C interface for Real Time Clock (RTC) functionality. The module also has a CR2032 Battery Holder on the back, which provides battery backup and keeps the time accurate even when the main power source is disconnected.
The DS3231 RTC module is a device that keeps track of time in seconds, minutes, hours, day, date, month and year. It automatically adjusts the date at the end of each month, taking into account the months with fewer than 31 days and the leap years. It can work in either 24-hour or 12-hour mode, with an AM/PM indicator. It also has two programmable alarms and a square wave output that can be set. It uses an I2C bidirectional bus to send and receive address and data information.
