  • Series Stacking: Many small toys and laser pointers stack three LR44 cells in a tube to achieve a 4.5V output. When designing a battery compartment for stacking, ensure the spring tension is high enough to maintain contact but not so high that it crushes the battery seals.

  • Clean Contacts: Button cells are sensitive to skin oils. Before installing, wipe the battery with a dry cloth; fingerprints can create a high-resistance film that reduces the battery's effective runtime.

  • Non-Rechargeable Warning: This is a primary alkaline cell. Never attempt to recharge it. Attempting to charge an LR44 can cause internal gas buildup and leakage.
