Prototyping and Engineering Tips from Robogears

  • Powering Your Build: For the best audio results and to achieve the full 30W per channel, we recommend using a 24V 3A or 5A power supply. Using an 8V or 12V supply will limit the maximum volume and may cause audio "clipping" at higher levels.

  • Speaker Matching: This board performs exceptionally well with 4-Ω to 8-Ω speakers. Ensure your speakers are rated for at least 30W each to prevent damage at high volumes.

  • Enclosure Considerations: If mounting the board inside a metal enclosure, the internal Bluetooth signal may be weakened. We recommend bringing out an external Bluetooth antenna or using a plastic/wooden box for optimal wireless range.

  • USB/TF Card Playback: The module automatically prioritizes these inputs when a card or drive is inserted. For Bluetooth mode, simply remove the physical media or use the mode switch if applicable.
