The SMD Small IC Bluetooth Module is built for minimalist efficiency. Unlike larger boards with onboard USB ports or buttons, this module focuses strictly on stable audio reception and decoding. It features dedicated pads for VCC (+5V) and GND power input, alongside L-Out, R-Out, and AGND for audio signal delivery. The onboard integrated antenna is tuned for a standard indoor range, providing a seamless wireless bridge between your smartphone and your speakers.

Prototyping and Engineering Tips from Robogears

  • Soldering Recommendation: Because this is an SMD module, avoid using a high-wattage soldering iron. A fine-tip iron at 300°C–350°C is recommended to prevent lifting the small pads.

  • Noise Suppression: To eliminate "humming" or digital noise, use shielded wires for the audio output and keep them as short as possible. If you share a power supply with a high-power amplifier, add a 100uF capacitor across the module's VCC and GND pins to filter out voltage ripples.

  • Antenna Isolation: Do not place the module inside a fully metal box, as this will block the Bluetooth signal. If using a metal enclosure, ensure the antenna end of the PCB is near a plastic window or opening.

  • Amplifier Requirement: This module provides a Line-Level signal. You cannot connect speakers directly to these pins; you must connect them to an amplifier board like the CA-502MT to drive actual speakers.
