The module includes a dedicated 32.768kHz crystal oscillator for precise timing and a battery holder on the underside to ensure the clock never resets during power failures. Additionally, it features the AT24C32 EEPROM chip, providing 4KB of non-volatile storage to save system settings or log event timestamps. Its standard 0.1" pitch headers make it easy to mount on breadboards or integrate into custom PCBs.
