• The Necessary Components: To use this sensor with an Arduino, you must use a 150 Ohm resistor and a 220uF capacitor (as shown in the datasheet). These components are required to provide the high-current pulses needed by the internal IR LED without crashing your microcontroller's power rail.

• Timing is Critical: The sensor's output is only valid at a very specific time during the IR pulse. You should trigger the IR LED, wait exactly 0.28ms, and then take your analog reading. Reading at the wrong time will result in "noisy" data or constant zero values.

• Orientation Matters: Mount the sensor vertically so that dust can naturally fall through the center hole. If mounted horizontally, dust may settle on the optical lenses over time, causing "sensor drift" where the base voltage increases even in clean air.

• Calibration: Every sensor has a slightly different "no-dust" voltage (usually around 0.1V to 0.9V). For accurate PM2.5 readings, you should record the voltage in a clean environment and subtract this "offset" from your future readings in your code.
