This Water Level Sensor is a simple analog sensor that works on the principle of variable resistance. As the water level increases, more of the parallel copper traces on the sensor board are submerged, leading to a change in the output voltage. This change is read by the Arduino's Analog-to-Digital Converter (ADC).
