• Speed vs. Voltage: CRITICAL: Note that the RPM scales almost linearly with voltage. At 5V, the motor will be quiet and slow; at 12V, it will reach maximum speed but generate more heat. If you need precise speed control, use a PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) motor controller rather than just lowering the voltage.

• Shaft Mounting: The 2.0mm shaft is a standard press-fit size. When attaching a gear or propeller, support the back of the motor shaft against a solid surface while pressing the component onto the front. This prevents the internal delicate motor brushes from being pushed out of alignment.

• Electrical Noise Suppression: Brushed motors generate EMI (Electromagnetic Interference) which can cause microcontrollers like Arduinos to reset. Solder a small 0.1µF ceramic capacitor across the motor terminals (+ and -) to "snub" this noise at the source.

• Handling Stall Torque: Avoid stalling the motor (holding the shaft while power is applied). A stalled motor acts like a short circuit and can quickly burn out the internal windings or destroy your motor driver.

• Reversing Direction: To change the direction of rotation, simply swap the Red and Black wire connections. If using an H-bridge driver (like the L293D or L298N), this can be done via software.
