• The "Power Hungry" ESP32: If you are using an ESP32 or ESP8266 with multiple sensors and a display, a standard 500mA USB port is often not enough. This 2A adapter provides the necessary current "headroom" to prevent the board from crashing during high-power Wi-Fi transmission bursts.

• Voltage Drop Caution: If you are extending the DC cable for a long-distance sensor project, remember that 5V systems are very sensitive to "Voltage Drop." A 5V signal can easily drop to 4.5V over a 3-meter thin wire, which might cause your microcontroller to reset. Keep the power wires as short and thick as possible.

• Polarity Check: CRITICAL: While 99% of 5V devices are "Center Positive," always verify the icon on your device's power port. Connecting this 2A supply with reversed polarity can instantly destroy a Raspberry Pi or Arduino.

• Heat Management: While this SMPS runs cool, avoid placing it in unventilated, airtight boxes. At a full 2A load, the internal components need minimal airflow to maintain their long-term efficiency and lifespan.

• DIY Bench Supply: If you are using this for a breadboard project, use a 5.5mm Female DC Barrel Jack to Screw Terminal adapter. This allows you to securely connect jumper wires to the 5V and GND rails of your breadboard without cutting the adapter's original cable.
