Product Description & Technical Details

Product Description The 433MHz RF Transmitter and Receiver Pair is one of the most popular and affordable solutions for wireless data transmission in the hobbyist and educational market. This pair consists of a small transmitter module (FS1000A) and a matching receiver module. It uses ASK (Amplitude Shift Keying) modulation, which is simple to implement and robust for low-speed data communication. Whether you are building a wireless doorbell, a remote-controlled car, or a basic home automation system, these modules provide a reliable link for sending simple commands and data packets across a room or even through walls.

Key Highlights

  • Cost-Effective Wireless Link: Offers a complete wireless solution at a fraction of the cost of Bluetooth or WiFi modules, perfect for mass-produced remote triggers.

  • Simple Interface: The transmitter has only 3 pins (VCC, GND, Data), and the receiver has 4 pins (VCC, Data, Data, GND), making them extremely easy to wire to any microcontroller.

  • Flexible Transmitter Voltage: The transmitter can operate anywhere from 3.5V to 12V; increasing the voltage significantly improves the transmission range.

  • Compact Footprint: Both modules are tiny, allowing them to be easily integrated into small handheld remotes or compact sensor housings.

  • Vast Library Support: Fully compatible with the RadioHead or VirtualWire libraries for Arduino, which handle all the complex bit-timing and error checking automatically.

Technical Specifications

  • Transmitter Current: 20-28mA (during transmit)

  • Receiver Sensitivity: -105dBm

  • Receiver Quiescent Current: 4mA

  • Transfer Rate: 2.4K - 4.8K bps

  • Dimensions (Transmitter): 19mm x 19mm

  • Dimensions (Receiver): 30mm x 14mm

Installation Tip from Robogears These modules are shipped without antennas to keep them compact. For any practical use beyond a few centimeters, you must solder a piece of wire to the "ANT" pad on both modules. A simple straight wire of 17.3 cm (exactly 1/4 wavelength for 433MHz) works best. For the receiver, try to keep it away from electromagnetic interference sources like motors or switching power supplies. In your code, always use a library like RadioHead rather than simple digitalWrite, as the receiver's AGC (Automatic Gain Control) requires a specific preamble to lock onto the transmitter's signal correctly.

Note: This kit includes one Transmitter and one Receiver module. Antenna wires are not included. Product images are for illustration purposes only.
