Product Description & Technical Details
Product Description
The Wireless Four Button Remote Control Kit is a versatile and cost-effective RF solution for wireless switching and automation. The kit includes a high-quality keychain remote and a super-heterodyne receiver module. It uses the popular SC2272-M4 (Momentary) or L4 (Latched) non-programmable decoder, ensuring stable communication over the 433MHz frequency. This module is widely used at Robogears for garage door openers, wireless toy cars, remote light switching, and security alarm triggers. Because it provides a simple high/low signal for each button pressed, it can be interfaced directly with microcontrollers like Arduino, 8051, or simple Relay driver circuits.
Key Highlights
Instant Wireless Control: Provides four independent digital outputs corresponding to the four buttons on the remote, allowing you to control up to four different devices wirelessly.
Plug-and-Play Receiver: The receiver module has a standard 7-pin interface (GND, 5V, D0, D1, D2, D3, and VT for "Valid Transmission" indicator).
Momentary Operation (M4): The output pin stays 'High' only as long as you keep the remote button pressed. Once released, the output returns to 'Low'.
Standard Fixed Encoding: Uses the PT2262 / PT2272 chipset architecture, making it compatible with other fixed-code RF systems in the 433MHz band.
Integrated Antenna: The remote features a telescopic antenna for maximum range, while the receiver board includes a coiled wire antenna for compact mounting.

Installation Tip from Robogears
To use this with an Arduino, connect the receiver's VCC to 5V and GND to GND. Connect the pins D0 through D3 to any digital input pins on your Arduino. Use digitalRead() to detect when a button is pressed. For the best range, ensure the receiver's coiled antenna is extended and kept away from metallic objects or high-frequency motor noise. If you need to switch heavy AC loads (like lights or fans), connect the receiver outputs to a 4-Channel 5V Relay Module rather than connecting the load directly to the receiver.
Note: This kit includes one Remote and one Receiver. Ensure your local regulations allow the use of 433MHz frequency. Product images are for illustration purposes only.
