Heatsink is Vital: At 32W, the TDA2050 generates significant heat. You must use a large aluminum heatsink (at least $50 \times 50 \times 20mm$). If you are using a metal chassis, remember that the tab is connected to Pin 3 (negative supply); use a mica insulator and silicone washer if your chassis is grounded.
Boucherot Cell (Zobel Network): To prevent high-frequency oscillations that can destroy the chip or your tweeters, always include a $2.2\Omega$ resistor in series with a $0.1\mu F$ capacitor between the Output (Pin 4) and Ground.
Power Filtering: Use large reservoir capacitors ($2200\mu F$ or higher) on the power rails to ensure deep bass response and to prevent "hum" from the power supply.
Input Coupling: Use a high-quality $1\mu F$ to $2.2\mu F$ non-polarized film capacitor at the input (Pin 1) to block DC from your audio source (phone/laptop).
