  • Voltage Difference: A rechargeable "9V" Ni-MH battery actually consists of 7 cells in series, giving it a nominal voltage of 8.4V. While most 9V devices work perfectly with this, some sensitive precision instruments may report a "low battery" sooner than they would with a 9.5V fresh alkaline.

  • Arduino Portability: This is the perfect companion for an Arduino Uno using the DC jack. Since it's rechargeable, you can test your robot code hundreds of times without buying new batteries. If your robot uses heavy motors, the 250mAh capacity will drain in about 30–60 minutes; for longer runtimes, consider using this only for the "brain" (logic) and a separate pack for the "brawn" (motors).
