  • Probe Positioning: For a reliable trigger, ensure the two metal nuts (probes) are not touching each other inside the cup. They must only be connected through the water to work correctly.

  • Water Purity: This kit works best with tap water. If you are using distilled or purified RO water, it may not conduct enough electricity; adding a pinch of salt to the water will instantly increase conductivity and trigger the alarm.

  • Maintenance: After each use, wipe the metal probes (nuts) dry with a cloth. This prevents rust and mineral buildup, which can act as an insulator and make the alarm less sensitive over time.

  • Expansion Idea: Try adding a third wire in the middle of the cup to create a "Half-Full" indicator light!
