Product Description & Technical Details

Product Description The DC 5V USB Spray Module is a compact, high-frequency ultrasonic atomization kit designed for DIY humidification and specialized incubation projects. Unlike traditional heat-based evaporators, this module uses a piezoelectric ceramic disc to vibrate water at a frequency of 108kHz, turning it into a fine, cool mist instantly. The kit includes a driver circuit board and a microporous atomizing film (transducer). It is highly efficient and can be powered directly from a USB port, power bank, or an Arduino's 5V pin, making it perfect for the Robogears team’s smart agriculture and automation prototypes.

Key Highlights

  • Microporous Technology: The atomizing film features thousands of laser-drilled micro-holes that ensure a consistent, ultra-fine mist without large water droplets.

  • Plug-and-Play USB: Features a Micro-USB port for easy power input, allowing you to use standard phone chargers or computer ports for quick setup.

  • Low Voltage & Safe: Operates at 5V, making it much safer for school experiments and DIY projects compared to high-voltage AC humidifiers.

  • Multi-Purpose Use: Ideal for humidity control in mushroom cultivation, egg incubators, medical atomization prototypes, and desktop decorative fountains.

  • Built-in Driver: The onboard circuit handles the high-frequency oscillation; you only need to provide power and water to start the misting process.

Technical Specifications

  • Current Requirement: 300mA to 500mA

  • Driver Board Dimensions: 35mm x 19mm

  • Mist Particle Size: ~5μm

  • Ceramic Disc Life: > 3000 Hours

  • Operating Modes: Usually features a push-button to cycle through Continuous Spray and Interval Spray modes.

Installation Tip from Robogears The atomizing film has a front and back side. Ensure the white ceramic side (usually the side with the wires) is facing down toward the water. To work correctly, the center of the disc must be in contact with a water-saturated cotton swab or be floating on the surface of the water using a foam ring. Do not submerge the entire driver board; only the transducer disc should interact with the liquid. If the mist output is low, ensure the micro-holes are not clogged by using distilled water instead of hard tap water.

Note: This kit includes the Driver Circuit Board and the 108kHz Atomizing Transducer. Cotton swabs and water containers are not included. Product images are for illustration purposes only.
