Product Description The NTAG213 13.56MHz NFC Sticker Tag is an ultra-thin, adhesive-backed proximity label designed for seamless "tap-and-go" interactions. Built on the high-performance NTAG213 chip, this sticker offers 144 bytes of rewritable user memory, making it ideal for storing URLs, contact details (vCards), or triggering automated tasks on smartphones. These tags are fully compatible with all NFC-enabled mobile devices and industrial readers like the PN532. With its discrete circular form factor and strong adhesive backing, it can be applied to posters, business cards, product packaging, or smart home furniture to bridge the gap between physical objects and digital content.

Prototyping and Engineering Tips from Robogears

  • 9V Battery Use: This sticker is passive and requires no battery. If you are building an NFC Reader (like PN532) for a 9V battery-powered project, use a Buck Converter to step down to 5V or 3.3V. Never connect 9V to the reader's VCC, or you will damage the chip that talks to these stickers.

  • 18650 Cell: A single 18650 cell is perfect for portable NFC loggers. Since the PN532 can run on 3.3V, you can use a 3.3V LDO regulator with your 18650 to create a compact, handheld NFC scanner.

  • IC & Capacitor Tip: If you are applying this sticker to a Metal Surface, it will not work unless you use an "On-Metal" version with a ferrite layer. To improve reader reliability, add a 0.1uF ceramic capacitor near the antenna terminals of your PN532/RC522 reader to reduce electromagnetic noise.
