Soldering Alignment: When soldering headers to a module (like a Nano or an I2C LCD), insert the header pins into a solderless breadboard first, then place the module on top. This keeps the pins perfectly vertical and aligned while you solder.
Clean Cuts: While these are "break-away" headers, using a pair of flush cutters results in a cleaner edge compared to snapping them by hand.
Avoid Overheating: Use a soldering iron temperature around 320°C–350°C. Heating the pins for more than 2-3 seconds can cause the plastic spacer to melt or warp, causing the pins to become crooked.
The "Short" Advantage: These 11.5mm pins are shorter than standard 14mm–18mm versions. Use these when you want a module to sit flush or closer to your main PCB to reduce the overall height of your project.
