Product Description
The CD74HC4067 is a high-speed CMOS 16-channel analog/digital multiplexer/demultiplexer breakout module. This versatile component acts like a rotary switch, routing a common signal (SIG) to one of 16 individual channel pins (C0-C15) based on the binary input of four select pins (S0-S3). Because it is a bi-directional analog switch, it works with both digital signals (like serial or I2C) and analog signals (like sensors or potentionmeters) in either direction. It is the industry standard for expanding the I/O capabilities of microcontrollers with limited pins, such as the Arduino Nano or ESP8266, allowing you to read up to 16 sensors using just one analog input.
Key Features
16-Channel Expansion: Connect up to 16 devices to a single signal pin, significantly increasing the I/O capacity of any microcontroller.
Bi-directional Switching: Signals can flow from the common pin to the channels or vice-versa, supporting both input and output applications.
Wide Voltage Range: Operates reliably between 2V and 6V, ensuring compatibility with 3.3V and 5V logic systems.
High Bandwidth: Supports high-speed signals up to 89 MHz, making it suitable for fast digital data transmission and audio.
Enable Pin Control: Features a dedicated Enable (EN) pin to disconnect all channels simultaneously, allowing for multiple-chip daisy-chaining.
