Product Description
The OE-37 Encoder module is engineered for durability and electrical noise immunity. Because it operates on magnetic principles rather than optical ones, it is unaffected by dust, dirt, or oil, which often cause optical encoders to fail in industrial environments. The module consists of a circular PCB containing two Hall sensors and a matching multi-pole rubber magnet that fits onto the motor's rear shaft. By monitoring the "Phase A" and "Phase B" signals, which are offset by 90 degrees, a controller can determine not just the speed, but also whether the motor is spinning clockwise or counter-clockwise.
Key Features
Non-Contact Sensing: Zero mechanical wear between the sensor and the magnet ensures a virtually infinite operational life.
Dual Channel Output: Provides quadrature signals (A/B) for precise directional sensing and 4x resolution enhancement via software.
High Thermal Stability: Designed to operate accurately even as the motor heats up during heavy-duty cycles.
Integrated Logic: Features onboard Schmitt triggers to provide clean, digital square-wave pulses, eliminating the need for external signal conditioning.
Compact Integration: Fits perfectly on the rear end-bell of standard 37mm "GA" or "GB" series geared motors.
