  • The "RX/TX Cross" Rule: In our experience, the most common setup error is pin orientation. Connect the TXD pin of the module to the RX pin of your Arduino, and the RXD pin of the module to the TX pin of your Arduino.

  • Power Matching: Always power the module with the same voltage as your microcontroller. If you are using an ESP32, power it with 3.3V; for an Arduino Uno, use 5V. This ensures the logic levels on the TTL side are perfectly matched.

  • DB9 Gender Check: This module has a Female DB9 connector. If your industrial equipment also has a female port, you will need a "Male-to-Male" serial cable or a gender changer.

  • Baud Rate Stability: For long cable runs (over 5 meters), we suggest keeping the baud rate at 9600 or 19200 bps to minimize the risk of data corruption caused by electrical noise.
