Product Description & Technical Details

Product Description The 5V 2-Channel Relay Module is an essential power interface designed to control two high-power appliances simultaneously from a single low-power microcontroller. It acts as an electromechanical bridge, providing complete galvanic isolation between your digital electronics and the heavy loads. Each of the two channels is integrated with an Optocoupler, which converts electrical signals into light to trigger the relay. This physical separation prevents electromagnetic interference (EMI) and back-EMF spikes from reaching your Arduino, ESP32, or Raspberry Pi.

Key Highlights

  • Independent Dual Control: Manage two separate AC or DC circuits (such as a light and a pump) independently using only two digital GPIO pins.

  • Full Opto-Isolation: Dedicated optocouplers for each channel ensure that the power circuit is physically "air-gapped" from the signal circuit, protecting your microcontroller.

  • High-Current Switching: Each relay is rated for 10 Amps, providing ample capacity for household appliances, solenoid valves, and small motors.

  • Onboard Visual Indicators: Features individual signal LEDs that light up when a relay is energized, along with a power LED for easy system status monitoring.

  • Flexible Logic (JD-VCC Jumper): Includes a removable jumper that allows the relay coils to be powered by an external 5V source, completely isolating the power draw from the microcontroller’s 5V rail.

Technical Specifications

  • Trigger Current: 5mA to 15mA per channel

  • Switching Time: < 10ms

  • Input Pins: VCC, GND, IN1, IN2

  • Output Terminals: 2 sets of Common (COM), Normally Open (NO), and Normally Closed (NC) screw terminals.

  • Dimensions: ~50mm x 38mm x 18.5mm

Prototyping & Installation Tip Most 2-channel modules are Active Low, meaning the relay is triggered when the input pin (IN1 or IN2) is pulled to Ground (LOW). When driving high-power AC loads, ensure the live wire is connected to the COM terminal and your appliance to either NO or NC depending on your logic. Safety Warning: Working with 250V AC is dangerous. Ensure all power is disconnected before wiring and house the module in a non-conductive, insulated enclosure.

Note: This product is the 2-Channel Relay Module ONLY. Jumper wires and AC power cables are sold separately. Product images are for illustration purposes only.
