  • The "Warm-Up" Phase: At our Pimpri facility, we always advise users to wait 30 to 60 seconds after powering the sensor before trusting the readings. The PIR element needs this time to calibrate itself to the room's ambient infrared signature.

  • Potentiometer Direction: Turning the Sensitivity screw clockwise increases the distance (up to 7m); turning the Delay screw clockwise increases the "ON" time (up to 3 minutes).

  • Avoid Heat Sources: Do not mount the PIR sensor directly above a radiator, AC vent, or in direct sunlight. Rapidly changing air temperatures can cause "false triggers."

  • Jumper Selection: Check the yellow jumper on the corner of the PCB. For most smart home projects, keep it on the "H" (Repeatable) setting so the light stays on as long as you are moving.
