• The "Press-Fit" Trick: CRITICAL: If a gear has a 1.9mm hole and you are struggling to fit it onto a 2mm motor shaft, do not use a hammer. Instead, dip the gear in hot water for 30 seconds to soften the plastic, or use a soldering iron to very briefly warm the motor shaft before pressing the gear on.

• 90-Degree Power: To change the direction of rotation by 90 degrees, use a Crown Gear meshed with a standard spur gear. This is essential for building steering mechanisms or vertical lifting winches.

• High Torque with Worm Gears: Use the included Worm Gear on your motor shaft to drive a large spur gear. This creates a massive gear reduction that provides high torque and, importantly, prevents the mechanism from "back-driving" (the load won't fall when the motor is off).

• Reducing Friction: For the smoothest operation, apply a tiny drop of Silicone Grease or dry PTFE lubricant to the gear teeth. Avoid petroleum-based oils, as they can eventually degrade certain types of plastic.

• Belt Tensioning: When using the included rubber belts and pulleys, ensure the belt is taut but not "stretching" the motor shaft. Excessive tension can cause the motor bearings to wear out prematurely or bend the plastic axles.
