The Multitec Heavy Duty Nipper is a versatile asset for any soldering station. Its slim, tapered head is designed to reach into dense PCB layouts to clip component "legs" (leads) flush against the board. Unlike standard pliers, these nippers produce a flat, clean cut that reduces the risk of solder joint fractures. The handles are ergonomically designed with cushioned grips to provide comfort during repetitive assembly line work, while the integrated return spring automatically resets the tool for the next cut, significantly boosting productivity.

  • Avoid Hard Wires: These nippers are precision instruments designed for soft metals like copper and aluminum. Never use them to cut steel wire, iron nails, or springs; doing so will cause immediate "nicking" of the 60 HRC blades, ruining the precision of the tool.

  • Proper Cutting Angle: For the cleanest cut on a PCB, place the flat side of the nipper against the board and the beveled side facing up. This ensures the component lead is cut as close to the solder pad as possible.

  • Safety First: Because these are "nippers," small bits of wire can fly off at high speeds when cut. Always wear safety goggles or hold the wire end with your finger to prevent off-cuts from hitting your eyes or falling into your circuitry (where they could cause a short).
