  • Sunlight Warning: While the sensor has ambient light immunity, direct sunlight contains heavy IR radiation that can "blind" the sensor. For outdoor robotics, we suggest adding a small 3D-printed shroud or "eyelid" over the sensor to block top-down light.

  • Pin Safety: Ensure your VCC and GND connections are correct. Reversing the polarity can permanently damage the on-board LM393 comparator chip.

  • Code Optimization: Since the output is Active Low, use the digitalRead() == LOW condition in your Arduino code to trigger your obstacle avoidance maneuvers.
