Product Description & Technical Details
Product Description
The 12V 8-Channel Relay Module is a high-density power interface designed to manage up to eight separate electrical circuits from a single microcontroller or PLC. This module is specifically engineered for 12V environments, making it ideal for automotive electronics, 12V solar power distribution, and industrial control cabinets. Each channel is equipped with a dedicated Optocoupler, providing full galvanic isolation between the 12V relay coils and the low-voltage logic (3.3V/5V) of your control board. This ensures that electrical noise, surges, and back-EMF spikes do not interfere with your processor’s stability.
Key Highlights
8-Channel High-Density Switching: Control a large array of devices—such as a full home lighting system, multiple solenoid valves, or complex motorised sequences—using only eight digital GPIO pins.
Full Opto-Isolation: Each of the eight inputs is isolated by an optocoupler, effectively creating an electrical "air-gap" that protects your Arduino, ESP32, or Raspberry Pi from high-voltage transients.
12V Native Operation: Works directly with standard 12V DC power supplies and automotive batteries, eliminating the need for step-down converters for the relay coils.
Onboard Diagnostic LEDs: Features a main power LED and eight individual signal LEDs that provide instant visual feedback on which relay is currently energised.
JD-VCC Isolation Jumper: Includes a jumper that allows you to provide a separate, dedicated 12V power supply to the relay coils while keeping the logic ground isolated from the power ground.

Prototyping & Installation Tip
To use this module, a stable 12V DC power source is required for the VCC and GND pins to engage the internal coils. Note that when all eight relays are active simultaneously, the module can draw approximately 500mA to 600mA. It is highly recommended to use an external 12V 1A (or higher) power adapter rather than attempting to power the coils through a thin jumper wire from a shared source. Most 8-channel modules are Active Low, meaning a logic "LOW" (GND) from your controller will switch the relay ON.
Note: This product is the 12V 8-Channel Relay Module ONLY. 12V power source, mounting hardware, and jumper wires are sold separately. Product images are for illustration purposes only.
