  • Voltage Match is Critical: Always ensure your replacement adapter is exactly 9V. Using a 12V adapter on the IP106 can blow the internal capacitors and audio amplifier chips of the speaker dock.

  • Amperage Headroom: It is safe to use an adapter with a higher current rating (e.g., 9V 3A), as the device will only draw what it needs. However, never use an adapter with less than 2A, as it will overheat and cause the audio to distort or the charging to fail.
