Product Description

Unlike transmitters with built-in LCD screens, the CT6B is programmed via a USB interface connected to a PC. Using the provided software, users can adjust advanced settings such as servos reversing, wing mixing (Delta/V-Tail), and dual rates. The included FS-R6B receiver is compact and lightweight, making it suitable for small-to-mid-sized RC models.

Prototyping and Engineering Tips from Robogears

  • Programming Requirement: Note that you cannot change settings on the transmitter itself. You will need a USB-to-Serial programming cable and the FlySky "T6Config" software (or the community-made "Digital Radio" software) to set up your model.

  • Binding Procedure: To bind the FS-R6B receiver, insert the Bind Plug into the BAT port, power the receiver through any other port, and then hold the Bind button on the transmitter while turning it on.

  • Powering Advice: This transmitter requires 8 AA batteries, which can make it heavy. Many hobbyists modify the battery compartment to fit a 3S LiPo or LiFe battery for longer runtimes and reduced weight.

  • Safety First: Always perform a range test at the flying field before your first flight of the day to ensure there are no local interference sources affecting your signal.
