The YF-S201 is a high-reliability water flow sensor designed for precise liquid measurement in automated dispensing, water heaters, and smart irrigation systems. It features a standard G1/2" threaded interface that easily integrates into domestic plumbing and industrial piping. Inside the sensor is a high-grade plastic valve body containing a water rotor and a Hall-effect magnetic sensor. As water passes through the rotor, it spins at a rate proportional to the flow velocity, causing the Hall sensor to output a corresponding pulse signal (square wave). This digital output is directly compatible with microcontrollers like Arduino, ESP32, and Raspberry Pi, making it an essential tool for smart water management and monitoring applications.
