This aluminium core ensures significantly faster heat dissipation compared to standard plastic alternatives, preventing LED burnout and the common "dark screen" or "sound but no picture" issues found in large-screen repairs.

Prototyping & Engineering Tips (Robogears Exclusive)

  • Diagnosis Tip: If your curved 60-inch TV flashes the logo for a second and then goes dark while the audio continues, the backlight driver has likely detected a failed LED in the array and entered protection mode.

  • The "Full Set" Rule: We strongly recommend replacing the entire set of 18 segments. In a large 60-inch array, mixing old and new LEDs often leads to voltage imbalances that cause the remaining old strips to fail shortly after the repair.

  • Surface Preparation: Before mounting the new strips at your Pimpri workshop, ensure the curved metal chassis is perfectly clean of old residue. Use high-quality thermal double-sided tape to ensure the aluminium strip makes maximum contact for cooling.

  • Curved Panel Handling: Curved LCD glass is under constant tension and is significantly more fragile than flat panels. We recommend using a specialised curved-screen suction cup set and at least two people to lift the panel to prevent cracking or internal contamination.
