This is a "Normally Closed" (NC) valve, meaning it remains shut when unpowered and opens instantly when 12V DC is applied.   • 9V Battery Use: A standard 9V battery will not work reliably. The solenoid requires high current (up to 600mA) and 12V to generate enough magnetic force to open the valve. Use a 12V 2A DC Power Adapter or a 12V Lead Acid battery.

  • 18650 Cell: You must use at least three 18650 cells in series (3S configuration - 11.1V). A single cell (3.7V) cannot power this module. For portable use, we recommend a 12V UPS/Power Bank circuit.

  • IC & Capacitor Tip: CRITICAL: When controlling this with an Arduino, you must use a 1N4007 Flyback Diode across the valve terminals to prevent the inductive spike from burning your transistors or ICs. Add a 1000uF 25V Capacitor near your power supply to handle the current surge when the valve clicks on.
