Detailed Key Features

  • Integrated Level Shifter: Built-in 74VHC125 or equivalent buffer converts 5V signals to 3.3V, ensuring high-speed data integrity and card safety.

  • Standard SPI Communication: Uses only 4 signal pins (MISO, MOSI, SCK, CS), leaving plenty of GPIOs free for other sensors and actuators.

  • CS Pin Assignment: While MISO, MOSI, and SCK are fixed on your MCU, you can use any digital pin for CS. Just ensure you update the SD.begin(CS_PIN) line in your Arduino code to match your wiring.

  • Power Stability: Writing to an SD card causes momentary current spikes. If your module fails during a "write" operation, add a 10µF capacitor between VCC and GND to stabilize the voltage.

  • Library Recommendation: Use the standard <SD.h> library included with the Arduino IDE. For more advanced or faster logging, the SdFat library is an excellent alternative.
