Product Description
The 38kHz IR Transmit Module is a "plug-and-play" solution for wireless data transmission. It consists of a high-output 940nm infrared LED driven by a simple transistor circuit on a compact PCB. When a 38kHz modulated signal is applied to the data pin, the LED flashes at that frequency, allowing it to be picked up by a standard IR receiver (like the TSOP1838). This module is ideal for creating "TV-B-Gone" style projects, DIY remote controls, or wireless "trip-wire" security sensors.
Key Features
Standard 38kHz Frequency: Fully compatible with common IR receiver modules and commercial household appliances.
Transistor-Driven Output: Includes an onboard transistor to drive the IR LED, ensuring the microcontroller's GPIO pin is not overloaded by high current.
Directed Emission: The 5mm LED provides a focused beam, allowing for point-to-point communication with minimal interference.
Easy 3-Pin Interface: Features standard headers for Power, Ground, and Data, making it breadboard-friendly.
Invisible Communication: Uses 940nm light, which is invisible to the human eye, allowing for discreet signaling.
