The XL6009 DC-DC Step-Up Converter is a high-performance booster module designed to efficiently step up a lower input voltage to a higher output voltage. As a significantly more powerful successor to the aging LM2577, the XL6009 utilizes high-frequency switching technology ($400$ kHz) to provide a stable, high-current output in a compact footprint. This board is a favorite for the engineering team at Robogears Private Limited when powering 12V LED strips or 24V solenoids from a single 3.7V Lithium-ion battery or a 5V USB power source.

Prototyping & Installation Tip

At your Pimpri workshop, always remember that this is a Step-Up (Boost) converter. The output voltage must always be set higher than the input voltage for the module to function correctly.

Important: If the output voltage does not change when you turn the potentiometer, turn it counter-clockwise for at least 15–20 full rotations. These multi-turn pots often ship at their maximum setting and require several turns before the voltage begins to drop/adjust.
