Product Description & Technical Details
Product Description
The 5V 4-Channel Relay Module is an essential power management interface designed to control up to four high-voltage or high-current appliances simultaneously using a single low-power microcontroller. It acts as an electromechanical bridge, providing complete galvanic isolation between your digital electronics and the heavy loads. Each of the four channels is integrated with an Optocoupler, which converts electrical signals into light to trigger the relay. This physical separation prevents electromagnetic interference (EMI) and back-EMF spikes from reaching your Arduino, ESP32, or Raspberry Pi.
Key Highlights
Quad Independent Control: Effortlessly manage four separate AC or DC circuits (such as lights, pumps, fans, and heaters) using four digital GPIO pins.
Full Opto-Isolation: Four dedicated optocouplers ensure maximum safety for your control board, effectively "air-gapping" the signal side from the power side.
High-Current Switching: Each relay is rated to handle up to 10 Amps, making it robust enough for most household automation and industrial prototyping needs.
Onboard Visual Indicators: Equipped with four signal LEDs that light up when their respective relay is energized, along with a main power LED for easy troubleshooting.
Flexible Logic (JD-VCC Jumper): Includes a removable jumper that allows the relay coils to be powered by an external 5V source while the signal side remains powered by the microcontroller.

Prototyping & Installation Tip
Most 4-channel modules are Active Low, meaning the relay is triggered when the input pin is pulled to Ground (LOW). When driving all four relays simultaneously, they can draw nearly 300mA. It is highly recommended to use the JD-VCC jumper to provide external 5V power directly to the relay coils rather than drawing that much current through the microcontroller's 5V pin. Always use properly rated wire for the AC terminals and ensure the module is mounted in a secure, non-conductive enclosure.
Note: This product is the 4-Channel Relay Module ONLY. Jumper wires and AC cables are sold separately. Product images are for illustration purposes only.
