Product Description & Technical Details

Product Description The 12V 2-Channel Relay Module is an efficient power interface designed for environments where a 12V power rail is standard, such as automotive systems, 12V solar arrays, and industrial machinery. This module allows a low-power microcontroller (like an Arduino or ESP32) to switch two high-power circuits simultaneously. Each channel features an onboard Optocoupler, ensuring that the high-voltage coil power is completely isolated from the sensitive logic pins of your controller, preventing resets or damage caused by back-EMF or electrical noise.

Key Highlights

  • Dual Independent Switching: Control two separate devices (e.g., a 12V water pump and a 12V LED floodlight) using only two digital GPIO pins.

  • Opto-Isolated Inputs: Dedicated optocouplers provide a safety barrier, allowing you to trigger 12V coils using 3.3V or 5V logic signals safely.

  • High-Current Capacity: Each relay is rated for 10A, providing enough overhead to handle heavy-duty DC loads or standard AC appliances.

  • Visual Status Indicators: Features power LEDs and individual activation LEDs for each channel, allowing for instant verification of the switching state.

  • JD-VCC Jumper System: Includes a jumper that allows for complete isolation of the relay coil power supply from the logic power supply, further reducing electrical interference.

Technical Specifications

  • Trigger Current: ~5mA to 10mA per channel

  • Switching Time: < 10ms

  • Input Pins: VCC, GND, IN1, IN2

  • Terminal Type: Triple screw terminals (Common, Normally Open, Normally Closed) for each relay.

  • Dimensions: ~50mm x 41mm x 18.5mm

Prototyping & Installation Tip To operate this module, you must connect a stable 12V DC source to the VCC and GND pins; a 5V supply will not be strong enough to engage the 12V internal coils. Most of these modules are Active Low, meaning a logic "0" (GND) from your Arduino will turn the relay ON. If you are using this in a vehicle, it is best practice to install it inside a waterproof or dust-proof project box, as the open PCB is sensitive to moisture and metallic debris.

Note: This product is the 12V 2-Channel Relay Module ONLY. A 12V power source and connecting wires are sold separately. Product images are for illustration purposes only.
