The LJ12A3-4-Z/BX is a high-reliability, industrial-grade inductive proximity sensor designed for non-contact metal detection. Unlike traditional mechanical limit switches, this sensor utilises electromagnetic fields to detect metallic objects, eliminating physical wear and extending operational life. As an NPN Normally Open switch, the signal remains high impedance until a magnetic metal (such as iron or steel) enters its sensing range, at which point the output is pulled to Ground (GND). This makes it an essential component for high-precision applications, including CNC end-stops, 3D printer auto-levelling, and automated production counting systems.
