  • 9V Battery Use: This panel outputs 6V, which is lower than a 9V battery. However, you can connect two of these panels in series to get ~12V, which can then be regulated down to 9V using an LM7809 regulator to replace a standard battery with solar power.

  • 18650 Cell: This 6V panel is the perfect match for charging a 3.7V 18650 cell. You must use a TP4056 Lithium Charging Module between the panel and the battery to manage the charging voltage and prevent overcharging.

  • IC & Capacitor Tip: Solar voltage can fluctuate wildly as clouds pass. Add a 1000uF 16V Electrolytic Capacitor across the panel's output to stabilize the voltage. Use a 1N4007 Diode in series with the positive lead to prevent the battery from discharging back into the solar panel at night.
