  • The Heatsink Rule: These DOB plates get very hot very quickly. You must apply Thermal Silicone Paste and mount the PCB to a metal heatsink (like the aluminum body of a bulb). Running it "open-air" without a heatsink will burn out the LEDs in minutes.

  • High Voltage Safety: Since this connects directly to 220V AC, ensure the power is off before handling. Always insulate your connections and ensure the PCB does not touch any conductive parts of your housing.

  • Surge Protection Tip: While these have on-board protection, adding an external MOV (Metal Oxide Varistor) in parallel to your AC input can significantly extend the life of the board against local power surges.

  • Creative Uses: These are excellent for creating high-power "night light" fixtures, festive garden globes, or underwater-themed room accents (when placed in a waterproof housing).
