Propeller Matching: CRITICAL: The 1400KV version is best paired with 8-inch to 9-inch propellers. Using a propeller smaller than 7 inches will result in very low thrust, while using a 10-inch or larger propeller on a 3S LiPo may draw more than 12A, potentially burning the motor or the ESC.
ESC Calibration: After connecting the motor to your ESC, always perform a throttle calibration through your flight controller or RC receiver. This ensures the motor starts spinning at the lowest throttle position and reaches its maximum RPM at full throttle.
Correct Rotation Direction: To reverse the direction of the motor, simply swap any two of the three bullet connector wires. There is no fixed "Positive" or "Negative" wire on a 3-phase brushless motor.
Safety First: Before testing the motor on your workbench, REMOVE THE PROPELLER. A brushless motor can reach full speed in a fraction of a second, and a spinning propeller can cause severe injury if it catches a loose wire or finger.
Bearing Maintenance: If the motor starts making a "whining" or "grinding" noise after several flights, it may have sucked in sand or fine dust. Use a drop of high-speed bearing oil or use compressed air to clean the gap between the rotor (the bell) and the stator (the coils).
