Product Description
The Soil Moisture Sensor Module is an essential tool for monitoring environmental conditions in automated gardening and agricultural research. This hygrometer uses two exposed conductive pads to measure the volumetric water content in soil through resistive sensing. When the soil is dry, the resistance between the probes is high; as moisture levels increase, the resistance drops, allowing more current to pass. The module includes a control board with an onboard LM393 comparator, providing both an Analog output (AO) for precise moisture percentages and a Digital output (DO) for simple "wet/dry" threshold detection. It is the perfect choice for building self-watering systems, smart planters, and IoT-based environmental loggers.
Key Features
Dual Output Mode: Features an Analog (AO) pin for real-time moisture monitoring and a Digital (DO) pin for direct triggering of relays or buzzers.
Adjustable Threshold: Includes an onboard blue potentiometer to set the moisture sensitivity level for the Digital output signal.
Corrosion-Resistant Probe: The sensing fork is treated with an anti-oxidant coating to extend the operational life when buried in damp soil.
Plug-and-Play Compatibility: Standard 2.54mm pin headers allow for immediate connection to Arduino, Raspberry Pi, or ESP8266 boards.
Visual Status Indicators: Dual onboard LEDs provide instant feedback: one for Power (red) and one for Digital Switch Output (green).
