• The Arduino Efficiency Secret: CRITICAL: While you can power an Arduino with 9V or 12V, using a 7.5V adapter is often the most efficient choice. The Arduino’s onboard 5V regulator has to "drop" less voltage (only 2.5V compared to 7V from a 12V source), which significantly reduces the heat generated by the regulator and extends the life of your board.

• Understanding Amperage: This is a 1A (1000mA) adapter. It can safely power any 7.5V device that requires less than 1A (e.g., 200mA, 500mA, or 800mA). The device will only draw what it needs. However, do not use this for devices requiring more than 1A, as the adapter may overheat or shut down.
