  • Trace Width Warning: When designing a PCB for 30A at your Pimpri workshop, standard copper traces are not enough. You must use extremely wide traces, often reinforced with thick solder or soldered copper bus bars, to prevent the PCB itself from burning.

  • Flyback Protection: Always connect a diode (like the 1N4007) in reverse-parallel across the 12V coil (Pins 1 and 2). This prevents the "inductive kick" from destroying your driving transistor or microcontroller when the relay switches off.

  • Contact Arcing: If switching high-inductive loads (like large motors), consider adding a snubber circuit (RC network) across the contacts to suppress arcing and extend the relay's life.
